Nascar 2004 - Race Results!

Race 1: Daytona

If you like Nascar, press 1! Lem brings Nascar to Guy Day with the inaugural GD race at Daytona. Each driver spent time with their mechanics, fine-tuning their race cars. At race time, Whoop-Ass got into an early fender-bender with Phule and spun into the grass. Lem led through most of the race and easily cruised to the winner’s circle.

Who was the best GD Nascar racer? GD Points standings were determined as follows: 7 points for 1st, 5 points for 2nd, 3 points for 3rd, and 1 point for racing. The inaugural GD Nascar cup goes to....

Need to get into the Nascar spirit - here’s a few rules of the south.

Windows Golden Tee on the Buckade

Ted & Lem  $23,000
Adam & Juan  $0
Doug & Ed  $13,000

Ted & Lem dominated the alternative shot skins tournament, earning 6 of 9 skins on their way to a $23,000 to $13,000 victory over Doug and Ed. Despite some incredible shotmaking (including an blind, over the palmetto chip-in) Adam & Juan continued their hard-luck partnership going 0 for 9 in skins.

Extreme Construction Bocce

Playing on a manicured court is too easy. What would make it more challenging? How about playing in a construction zone? Lem’s ‘Bocce tournament, complete with a dumpster, saw horses, debris and a dead zone provided a challenging court for play.

Team A: Ed & Behl  (W-0  L--2)
Team B: Ted & Dan  (W-2  L-1)
Team C: Lem & DJLA  (W-3  L-0)
Team D: Doug & Adam  (W-0  L-2)

In the finals, Lem & DJLA jumped out to a 9-0 lead and easily cruise to the title. DJLA captures back-to-back Bocce titles (2004 w/ Mutz)

Results:

B def A, 11-4
C def D, 11-2

C def A, 11-6
B def D, 12-10* (Up 10-9, D passes on a potential game winning shot)

Finals
C def B, 11-1

Arcade Challenge on the Buckade

Host Lem lined up a four-game arcade challenge on the Buckade, and threw down the GD gauntlet to see who could post the high scores on some new GD games.

Despite a Whopper of a score on Burgertime, Ed lost his first Arcade game tournament since GDX’s were introduced at Guy Day. Host Lem won three of four events ot take the Arcade Challenge crown.
